Helpful suggestions will be provided pertaining to the conception of key creative ideas in the world of fashion\/life-style magazines toward the communication of social issues.\r\n\r\nFeaturing guest speakers and moderators who\u2019ve garnered more than 10 years of experience in producing visuals for newspapers, magazines and other cultural publications, the talks will engender insights into the creative process, visualisation and observation skills \u2013 all important elements to consider in visual storytelling.\r\n\r\nPROGRAMME\r\n\r\n<strong>Session 1: LEGACY<\/strong>\r\n\r\n&#8211; Mr. Tr\u1ea7n H\u1ed3ng Nguy\u00ean, New York Times illustrator, will discuss the magazine covers he\u2019s designed in Vietnam and abroad, in doing so shedding light on the process of building ideas and developing personal skillsets.\r\n\r\n&#8211; Ms. H\u00e0 \u0110\u1ed7, Creative Director of \u0110\u1eb9p Magazine, will talk about special photography albums that \u0110\u1eb9p has produced over the past 10 years or so \u2013 the theme of each year, how they\u2019ve gone about photoshoots that have been both highly aesthetical and of great relevance to the times.\r\n\r\n&#8211; Q&amp;A\r\n\r\n<strong>Session 2: NEW AGE<\/strong>\r\n\r\n&#8211; Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n T\u1ea5n Ki\u1ebfn Ph\u01b0\u1edbc, CEO of 360Life and Fnews Collection, will share about the process of building an ecosystem of websites\/communities that gather youngsters with an interest in design. This will help highlight the new pathways via which the youth are accessing and choosing news and communications channels.\r\n\r\n&#8211; Mr. Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng Huy\u1ec1n \u0110\u1ee9c, AMPAS Science and Technology Council Advisor (Oscar Award), Technical Supervisor of Concept Design at Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros and Industrial Light &amp; Magic, will share his experience of designing covers for major Vietnamese magazines. Through this, the talk will address the challenges and opportunities that TV, videos and visual-based publications bring about to artists working with images in the future.\r\n\r\n&#8211; Q&amp;A\r\n\r\n*\r\n\r\nMODERATOR: Designer Nguy\u1ec5n Phan Th\u00f9y D\u01b0\u01a1ng holds a Bachelor degree in Visual Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) (Milan, Italy), and a Masters degree in Design Management at the Savannah College of Art &amp; Design (SCAD) (US). Th\u00f9y D\u01b0\u01a1ng has worked as Editor of ELLE Decoration Vietnam magazine since 2017, and prior to this she was ELLE magazine\u2019s Art Director. She\u2019s also currently a lecturer at the HCMC University of Architecture, and a visiting lecturer at RMIT University.\r\n\r\nSPEAKERS\r\n\r\nMs. H\u00e0 \u0110\u1ed7 graduated in Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts (NYC). H\u00e0 has worked as Art Director of JWT and LOWE Vietnam, while also having many years of experience in other positions at various advertising companies. In 2010, H\u00e0 started working for \u0110\u1eb9p and has been the magazine\u2019s Creative Director since then. Through the creative works produced for \u0110\u1eb9p magazine and for film\/music projects, H\u00e0 has showed her strong Vietnamese creative vision and audacity. Directly responsible for initiating ideas and overseeing photoshoots, H\u00e0\u2019s known for her limitless creative mind and her vigorous attention to detail.\r\n\r\nMr. Tr\u1ea7n H\u1ed3ng Nguy\u00ean has an MFA in Illustration. He graduated from the HCMC University of Fine Art, and later the Savannah College of Art &amp; Design (SCAD) (US). During his time at SCAD he produced illustration works for the major American magazine The New York Times; he\u2019s also made work for various Vietnamese publishers, magazines and newspapers. He\u2019s currently a painter at Chicago Children\u2019s Theatre (Chicago, US). Nguy\u00ean has been given prizes and awards from the likes of Applied Arts Magazine (2012-2015), the 33th American Illustration competition, and Society of Publication Designers 2014.\r\n\r\nMr. Nguy\u1ec5n T\u1ea5n Ki\u1ebfn Ph\u01b0\u1edbc is currently CEO of 360Life and the Fnews Collection ecosystem \u2013 platforms that build a content community via Facebook and Idesign (the latter a website for Vietnam\u2019s community of young designers).\r\n\r\nMr. Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng Huy\u1ec1n \u0110\u1ee9c, AMPAS Science and Technology Council Advisor (Oscar Award), Technical Supervisor of Concept Design for Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros and Industrial Light &amp; Magic, amongst others.
